Motor vehicle accidents are the most common causes of personal injuries. Injuries sustained in car accidents can range from minor cuts, bruises, and fractures, to serious and catastrophic injuries involving the head, neck, back, spinal cord, and brain. Our auto accident attorneys regularly represent individuals injured in car accidents. We have experience representing even the most seriously injured individuals.

Florida law requires drivers to carry automobile insurance. In most cases, if you are injured in an auto accident, you will seek financial compensation from an insurance company. Even if you are involved in a collision with an uninsured or underinsured driver, you will be able to seek compensation from your own car insurance company. Because car accidents are so common, and cost insurance companies hundreds of millions of dollars, the insurance companies, insurance adjusters, and insurance defense attorneys work hard to limit your financial recovery. We work hard to maximize it.

Following a serious auto accident, it is essential that we begin an investigation immediately. Our team will develop and preserve valuable evidence in your case. We use the evidence to bolster our position in negotiations with the insurance company. Whenever a fair and reasonable settlement is unavailable, we will vigorously pursue litigation options.

If you were recently injured in a motor vehicle accident in Florida, do not agree to an insurance settlement without speaking with us or you may forfeit valuable rights. Contact us to schedule a FREE CONSULTATION with an experienced Florida auto accident lawyer. We also represent clients injured in accidents involving motorcycles and trucks.

Ducati Monster 696, 2011, Motorcycle Insurance Informations

Ducati Monster 696, 2011
North American Specifications
USA MSRP - $8,495 USD

Features and Benefits
The 696 with a comfort-enhancing 20mm bar-riser, 43mm Marzocchi front suspension, a new dark stealth and stone white colour scheme with dark chrome handlebar finish and a new sub-frame ready for the Ducati Performance grab-rail accessory. Launched as an early entry to model year 2011, the 796 now gets Marzocchi front suspension, while the 1100 and 1100 S follow the rest of the range with a new sub-frame ready to accept accessory passenger grab-rails.

The latest Monster family provides a stylish range of lifestyle motorcycles, all available with optional ABS and with high attention to user-friendly detail. The Monster’s cult status as a design icon of hand-built, naked motorcycles remains as authentic as ever.

Monster ABS

The 2011 Monster family now offers all models with optional anti-lock braking system (ABS).
The ABS developed by Ducati and offered as an option on the entire Monster family is the most
sophisticated version available in motorcycling. Designed to reduce the risk of wheel-lock under heavy
braking or when braking in low grip conditions, the system reads wheel speed data from phonic wheel
sensors to detect potential wheel lock. If the wheel speed differential falls below a specific safety limit, the control unit immediately reduces the brake system pressure to the appropriate calliper to avoid wheel lock.

Monster frame
An immensely strong but light tubular steel Trellis frame with aluminium rear sub-frame is the visual and
structural backbone of all the Monsters. Delivering unparalleled rigidity with minimal mass, the frame
design is pure Ducati in its ingenuity and simplicity and also enables a very useful 64 degrees of lock-to-lock steering travel. The brand new lightweight aluminium sub-frame maintains visual continuity with the aluminium footrest hangers and swingarm, and is designed to accept a passenger-friendly grab-rail kit available from Ducati Performance. The kit further enhances passenger ride comfort without compromising the Monster’s stylish lines.

Monster instrumentation
Looking clean and minimalist in true Monster style, the brightly illuminated display provides all essential
data by default, and even more by scrolling with the left-hand switchgear. Data includes speed, revs, time, scheduled maintenance, oil temperature and battery voltage, while warning lights illuminate for oil pressure, fuel reserve, turn indicators, high beam and neutral selection. In addition, the instruments present a reserve fuel trip, immobiliser status and automatic light-off function after 60 seconds with the key on as well as a memory to store lap times recorded by using the high-beam flash button as a stopwatch.

The display doubles as a control panel for the activation of the Ducati Data Analyser (DDA) system, which is available as an accessory from Ducati Performance. All Monsters are built ‘system-ready’ for the data acquisition kit, which consists of a special DDA software and memory key that slots into USB style plug under the seat. The same plug also doubles as the connection for a handy ‘battery maintainer’ available as an accessory from Ducati Performance.

Aprilia Scarabeo 200, 2011

Aprilia Scarabeo 200, 2011

STYLE
The new 200 conserves all the usual classic and modern style emblems, decisive features and smooth lines in an instantly harmonious continuity. Once again Scarabeo has redefined urban scooter design. Yet in a world of throw-away fashions, Scarabeo’s reassuring lines are a welcome constant. With one-in-a-million looks, Scarabeo lets you live the city in true elegance. The 200 lives up to its reputation of authentic trend setter. The 200 embodies pure Scarabeo style, free from excess and with nothing out of place. Only Scarabeo could achieve such perfection. Small enough to nip through the most chaotic traffic, Scarabeo also offers advanced ergonomics and unrivalled functionality to ensure that you always ride in comfort and style.

THE DETAILS THAT COUNT
A flat platform provides greater space for load carrying. A windshield fixed to the steering head deviates air flow over the rider, guaranteeing turbulence-free travel even at high speed. Generous analog-digital instrumentation includes an on-board computer with handlebar controls: the system’s many functions include outside air temperature display with ice warning. Even the centre stand has been carefully designed to afford the best possible leverage, so that lifting your Scarabeo on to it stand is a piece of cake. The aluminium luggage rack provides the perfect surface for fitting a top box. And the intelligent use of chrome, plus direction indicators integrated in the handlebars, and many other clever details, make Scarabeo totally unique.

ENGINE
As with everything else on the Scarabeo 200, the engine is brand new, and designed by Aprilia specially for Scarabeo. These advanced, lightweight, rational and clean running engines combine excellent performance with miserly consumption, are almost vibration-free in use and boast ultra-low emissions, in keeping with Scarabeo’s environmentally friendly philosophy. This single cylinder four stroke engine delivers fun, safety and comfort. It is liquid cooled with four valve, double overhead cam cylinder heads, used for the first time on an Aprilia scooter of this size. By optimizing valve timing, this technical solution, typical of high performance engines, succeeds in combining high power with low emissions. No wonder the Scarabeo 200 boasts the highest performance of any scooter of its class. The 200 version delivers an impressive 14 kW (19 HP) at 8250 rpm, with generous torque (17 Nm at 7500 rpm), for sporty yet relaxing acceleration and excellent active security under all riding conditions. In keeping with the original design concept, the engine is fuelled by a modern Keihin carburettor for simple, trouble-free use. A catalytic converter is fitted to ensure cleaner exhaust emissions and bring Scarabeo 200 within the limits of EURO 3 legislation. Particularly low fuel consumption plus a generous 8 litre fuel tank, combine to give more than enough autonomy for a week’s urban commuting.

Husqvarna TXC250, 2011, Cross Country

Husqvarna TXC250, 2011

TXC250 - HUSQVARNA The TXC 250 is a completely new, revolutionary machine. The biggest innovation is the new 250 cc engine that, at only 22 Kg., is without any shadow of doubt the point of reference for this category.

Compared with the TXC 08 engine, on the new 250 Husqvarna, the distance between the primary transmission and the centre is decreased by about 16% and the distance between the gearbox and the centre is reduced by about 7%. Length, width and height have been decreased by 13%.

The single cylinder water-cooled four-stroke engine features 4 radial valves while bore and stroke are 79 and 50.9 mm respectively to give a capacity of 249.5 cc.
The engine breathes through 4 titanium radial valves driven by twin overhead combined chain/gear drive cams.

Wet multi-plate clutch, 7 driving plates - 6 driven.

Five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Lubrication is taken care of by a dry sump system with rotor pump. The engine and gearbox combined hold about 900 grams of oil. The TXC has both electric and kick start systems.

The frame is completely new, lighter and has a redesigned geometry. All the body panels have been redesigned so as to make the bike especially compact, slim and manageable. The dry weight of the new Husqvarna is the minimum allowable in its category thus adding to its appeal and performance.

The rear suspension has a new Soft Damp system with a new leverage ratio, new progression curve and decreased frame load. The chain tension effect has been optimised as has the traction. The new aluminium swing arm features an asymmetric geometry extruded box aluminium centre housing the off-set shock absorber.

The suspension features new sealed cartridge Kayaba 48 mm forks and a new Sachs shock absorber. The brakes discs are of daisy (wave) design.

Yamaha V-Star 1300 Tourer, 2011

Yamaha V-Star 1300 Tourer, 2011

The V Star 1300 Tourer has it all for you to see the boulevard and the country in comfort and style.
The 2011 Yamaha V-Star 1300 has a "casual touring" stablemate. The "Tourer" version of the 2011 V-Star 1300 has all the same great features plus a windshield, locking saddlebags and passenger backrest. These value added items are sure to have the miles rolling by in style and comfort.

Features
Fuel Consumption * 18kpl/51mpg(Imp)
60 degree, fuel injected, V-twin
Windshield, backrest & saddlebags

ENGINE
  • 1304cc, (80 cubic inch) liquid-cooled, short stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 60° V-twin power plant pumps out excellent power and torque for unparalleled acceleration and cruising performance. At 110 km/hr the engine is only turning 3,400 rpm, for relaxed highway cruising.
  • Electric starting system features a mechanical centrifugal decompression device in the exhaust camshaft for easy, no-hassle starting and reduced battery size and weight.
  • Liquid-cooling not only allows for higher state of tune because it maintains more stable operating temperatures, but also reduces mechanical noise for a quieter engine.
  • In an effort to maintain the classic air-cooled appearance of the engine, cooling fins have been added as a styling highlight.
  • The short stroke engine design reduces the "tallness" of the engine, while the 60 degree "V" makes the engine more compact thereby centralizing mass and lowering the center of gravity for lighter more responsive handling.
  • Classic V-twin "pulse feeling" and engine character highlight this power plant while annoying vibration has been eliminated.
  • One-piece cylinder heads feature 4-valves per cylinder to provide optimum breathing efficiency for maximum power output. Each head is fitted with a single long reach spark plug.
Stylish chromed cylinder head covers.
  • The SOHC valve train features 36mm intake and 32mm exhaust valves with special single coil springs for great power and torque. Valve angles are set at 20 degrees. Specially designed roller rockers activate the valves. The roller rocker system allows a greater amount of valve lift without producing excessive camshaft wear and friction. The slipper portion of the rocker arm features a needle bearing to further reduce wear and slide resistance. The camshafts have been specially designed to provide class leading power.
  • Optimized squish area forces the fuel / air mixture toward the centre of the combustion chamber for more complete combustion and hence power.
  • The water pump which is integrated with the oil pump and is located inside the engine cases to keep a cleaner, more traditional air-cooled look to the power plant. The engine uses a wet sump lubrication system.
  • The radiator is mounted between the front frames down tubes to minimize its appearance especially when viewing the machine from the side. Even the rad hoses have been discreetely placed for a cleaner appearance. An electric fan aids in cooling in stop and go traffic.
  • Automatic hydraulic cam chain tensioners reduces mechanical noise and extend engine life.
  • Ceramic composite-plated cylinders reduce weight, increase cylinder life and provide uniform heat dissipation. The cylinders have a tapered "V" appearance to highlight the V-twin design. Cylinder bore is 100mm.
  • Forged pistons offer great durability and reduced weight for faster engine response and less mechanical vibration.
  • Crankshaft features a single crank pin design. The crankshaft turns counter clockwise. This specially designed crank helps to enhance the pulse feeling and engine character.
  • Forged connecting rods ride on a single crank pin crankshaft for that true V-twin sound and feel.
  • Single axis, left and right dual engine counter balancers reduce vibration to a minimum while maximizing rider comfort.
  • Crankcase design features internal oil and coolant lines for a clean, air-cooled engine appearance. There are special piston coolers that spray oil at the under side of the pistons.
  • Easy access, spin on type oil filter is located under the engine in the cases. There is no need to remove any parts to access the oil filter.
  • Classic side mounted 3.7 liter airbox houses a viscous paper-type filter and adds that special styling touch.
  • Mikuni dual bore, 40mm returnless-type throttle body fuel injection system with TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and ISC (Idle Speed Control) . This is a "closed loop" system that utilizes an oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor "sniffs" spent exhaust gases and feedback info to the ECU which in turn adjusts the fuel/air mixture for maximum power with minimum emissions. The oxygen sensor is located before the mufflers, so the use of slip-ons will not effect this system. Bore size is 40mm and each injector features 12 holes and a dual spray pattern for better fuel atomization and more complete combustion chamber filling. There is one injector per cylinder. Fuel injection benefits include improved fuel economy, chokeless operation, reduced emissions, and steady idling during start-up.
  • High pressure fuel pump is located in separate sub tank below the seat.
  • Stylish fuel pump cover on left hand side of the engine.
  • 2 into 1 exhaust system features a 3-way honeycomb catalyzier at the entry point to the muffler. The catalyzier reduces harmful exhaust emissions, while the muffler produces a throaty V-Twin growl. The rear portion of the muffler features a "slash cut" end.
  • Smooth-shifting, 5-speed transmission with 5th gear overdrive delivers outstanding cruising performance and reduced rpms at highway speeds. The engine is spinning at 3,400 rpm at 110 km/hr.
  • Clean, quiet belt drive system is extremely low maintenance and simplifies customization. The belt is unique to the XVS1300 and features carbon cords for strength.
  • Specially designed starter motor features a damping mechanism to prevent damage from kick back.
  • Air Induction System (A.I.S.) reduces harmful exhaust emissions (CO + HC).
  • One piece classic heel-and-toe shifter adds versatility and enhances the overall cruising experience.
CHASSIS
  • Double cradle steel frame offers roomy ergonomics, and great handling. This frame utilizes a rigid engine mounting system to optimize the overall rigidity balance for superior handling. The rack is 32 degrees, while the lean angle is a sporty 36 degrees.
  • Steel swingarm matches the frame and provides superior performance in a wide variety of conditions, while also making a bold styling statement.
  • Long 1,690mm (66.5") wheelbase creates a long, low retro profile and solid, stable handling. This chassis is longer than the XVS1100 by 45mm (1.8") and offers a 48% front // 52 % rear weight distribution.
  • The long low design means spacious ergonomics with lots of leg room, which maximizes both rider and passenger comfort.
  • 41mm KYB front fork features stylish large-diameter brushed-finished covers. Wheel travel is 135mm (5.3") for a smooth, comfortable ride.
  • Monocross style, spring preload-adjustable, single-shock, link rear suspension centralizes mass for agile handling. The linkage system provides a rising rate effect that provides excellent compliance on both small and large bumps. There are 9 positions of spring preload adjustability to suit rider preference.
  • Rear shock is vertically mounted behind the engine and is tucked out of sight for that classic, hardtail look. Rear wheel travel is 110mm (4.3").
  • Dual 298mm, floating front discs are squeezed by compact twin piston front calipers.
  • 298mm rear disc brake squeezed by single piston caliper mounted to the underside of the swingarm. This design not only helps to hide the caliper but also lowers the center of gravity for better handling.
  • Lightweight 7-spoke cast aluminum wheels are fitted with wide tubeless tires. These stylish "mag" wheels are both easy to clean and never require maintaince. The rear drive pulley matches the wheel design.
  • Full-size, "tapered" floating-type rider floorboards are roomy and comfortably positioned while also helping to reduce vibration. There is a replaceable "scraper" area on the lower edge of the foot board.
  • 1 inch, rubber mounted handlebars are easy to reach and help to reduce vibration as well.
  • Front and rear fenders are steel for easy customization and painting if desired.
  • 18.5 liter teardrop shaped fuel tank with flush mounted filler cap. Fuel tank features a seamless design for that clean, custom look.
  • Generous rider and passenger seats offer plenty of room and support for all day riding comfort. Seat height is only 690mm or 27.2" inches off the ground.
  • Handlebar-mounted chromed instrument features an analog speedometer, digital odometer, dual tripmeters, low fuel tripmeter, clock and low fuel warning light. Stylish red background illumination.

Yamaha V-Star 1100 Silverado, 2011

ENGINE
  • 1,063cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve per cylinder, 75° V-twin is tuned to provide outstanding low- and mid-range torque. Maximum torque is reached at only 2,500 rpm for exceptional overall cruising performance.
  • Forged, lightweight pistons provide great durability while reducing vibration and reciprocating mass for fast throttle response.
  • Ceramic composite cylinder bore plating ensures superior heat dissipation for better cooling, reduced friction and longer cylinder life.
  • Thick cylinder cooling fins enhance the stylish look while increasing cooling efficiency and reducing mechanical noise.
  • Dual Mikuni BSR 37mm carburetors with throttle position sensors (T.P.S.) feature carburetor heaters and handy side-mounted air filter to ensure consistent fuel flow, great throttle response and optimum power throughout the rev range.
  • One-way, cam clutch-type starter decreases mechanical noise during starting.
  • Transistorized coil ignition is maintenance-free and ensures fast starts and great engine performance.
  • Automatic cam chain tensioners and special silent design cam chains reduce both mechanical noise and maintenance.
  • Slick shifting, 5-speed transmission is perfectly suited for both city and highway use. 5th gear is an overdrive gear for reduced engine rpms at highway speeds for a smooth comfortable ride.
  • Low-maintenance, chrome, exposed shaft drive delivers superior reliability and smooth performance. There are no chain adjustments or messy chain splatter to worry about.
  • 2-into-2 exhaust system with dual shotgun-style staggered pipes plays outstanding V-twin music and simplifies aftermarket conversion, if desired.
  • Classic heel/toe shifter adds versatility and enhances overall cruising comfort.
  • Air Induction System (A.I.S.) reduces harmful CO and HC emissions.
  • Numerous chromed engine parts reinforce this motorcycle's quality and value.
